State of Texas: Texas Senate

The Texas Senate is composed of 31 members who represent 31 separate geographical districts in the state. A representative or senator gets an idea for a bill by listening to the people he or she represents and then working to solve their problem.

A bill may also grow out of the recommendations of an interim committee study conducted when the legislature is not in session. The idea is researched to determine what state law needs to be changed or created to best solve that problem.

Once you click on the link, you will be redirected to their profile at house.texas.gov. From there, you can contact them via email, or by visiting their physical district office at the provided district address.

***Note: Some Texas State Senators might not have an email address listed. Senators who do accept e-mail will have an e-mail form on their web site***
